Dr. Vanek grew up in Hays, KS and graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She received her Doctorate of Optometry in 2007 from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Upon graduation she moved to Delaware where she practiced as an associate for a large group practice. With a desire to be independent, Dr. Vanek opened her own boutique optometry practice in 2018.

Dr. Vanek lives in Millville, DE with her husband Adrian and stepdaughter Reilly. In her spare time she enjoys trips back to Kansas, running and working in their vineyard.

She was born in Washington DC but grew up most of her life in Fredericksburg, VA.
She graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After graduating she attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN to obtain her doctor of optometry degree.
Upon graduation, she moved back to Virginia and eventually settled in to work at a privately owned optometry office in Arlington, VA. She has a love for all things Washington, specifically the Nationals, Capitals, and Commanders.
After working a multi specialty ophthalmology office for two years, she decided to join Eyes Inc with Dr. Vanek, which felt more like home.
